COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE:

Everyone, we are back on! Power has been restored at Topolino and we are here ready to service your wheel needs!

Check out this pic! This is just one of many trees blown down by the hurricane and this is on our commute to the office. The tree is HUGE and is just dangling by wires! We have to drive under that sucker every time. Scary!

Thank you for your continued support!

Topolino Technology and Easton Cycling

As you may have just read in Bicycle Retailer, Topolino licensed some key composite technology to Easton Cycling. The fruits of this cooperation will be introduced to the market in about a year, but we wanted to give our friends an early heads up.

Easton has been innovating in the cycling world for a long time, and has a storied history of developing high-performance materials and cutting-edge products. I met with the Easton guys and immediately knew I found a group of dedicated bike people that would be a pleasure to work with. They have all of the tools, resources, and enthusiasm to create world-class cycling products. The technology Topolino has licensed to them is very near and dear to my heart. I'm very excited about the direction Easton will take this project. When you see it, I'm certain you'll be excited too.

In conjunction with this agreement, Topolino will discontinue sales of its Carbon Core and True Black family of bicycle wheels. But to our customers who have Topolino wheels: it'll be like nothing's changed. We will continue to provide support for these wheels like we always have. Need replacement parts, repair services, or guidance with your wheels? Call us.

So, what's next for Topolino?

Our new arrangement will allow Topolino to focus on our new WX2.5 wheelchair wheels. They have been met with rave reviews and are the lightest wheels in the industry by a longshot. Not only that, but they provide excellent lateral stiffness and the unbelievably smooth ride you've come to know from Topolino. We're a smaller tight-knit company and the wheelchair market is an excellent fit for what we do best: combining advanced materials and innovative design with old world craftsmanship and attention to detail.

But the bike industry remains a key part of our DNA. I’ve got well over 25 years in this industry and we certainly won't be leaving. We're committed to advancing the state of the art and making products we can be proud of.  Topolino has access to a very substantial portfolio of patents and technologies, with a scope and level of innovation that rivals the biggest names in the bike industry. And there’s more under development. We also plan to cooperate with other visionary companies in the near future. In fact, you can already see some of these technologies on products by some well-known names in the industry. You can also be sure that Topolino's new products will be based on true innovation and genuine advancement – they will be products that make a difference.

World's Lightest Wheelchair Wheels Now Available in RED!

Topolino Technology is pleased to announce that the world’s lightest wheelchair is now available with red accents! Since seeing the first red Carbon Core™ wheels earlier in the year at shows in Nashville, Los Angeles, and New York, users have been clamoring to know when they will be available. “Every show we’ve been to, the feedback has been fantastic. The red scheme lends a new dimension of color and really complements the carbon black look of our wheels,” says Rafe Schlanger, President and Founder of Topolino.
Dramatic Weight Savings
Like the original wheels, the new red wheels are the lightest wheelchair wheels available in the world - the next lightest wheels on the market are 23% heavier. “The weight savings is very noticeable, and the higher stiffness makes for an easy push,” says Domonic Corradin, owner of Extreme Abilities. “These new red wheels have all the technology and performance of our original yellow wheels, but now we can offer more choices, allowing Topolino users to further personalize their ride,” Schlanger adds.

Born from over 25 years of experience in advanced composite materials and design innovation, Topolino's Carbon Core™ wheelchair wheels are simply the lightest available for everyday use. Utilizing the same patented technology developed for their race-proven cycle wheels, the wheelchair wheels combine incredible strength and durability with astounding light weight and responsiveness. Nothing else even comes close!

Available all over the world and as an option on your favorite wheelchair frame, Topolino wheels come in 540 / 24” and 559 / 25” sizes. Call Topolino for more information, and
